Description

Pete Swayne grew up in southern California but spent most of his summers and winter/spring vacations with his Uncle Gene and Aunt Jo on their citrus ranch in Lemon Cove (near Visalia), a rural central California town. He quickly learned to love the chores of the early morning hours on the farm, tending to the soil, fixing irrigation lines, tackling the pesky pests, staying up all night and lighting smudge pots on frosty nights, and of course, the long hours of harvest.
