How do we create the charts for the price of olive oil?
We generate our olive oil price evolution charts utilizing aggregated data available from public sources combined with internal information from our transactions in the marketplace.
The chart displays the maximum, minimum, and the average prices for each period. The calculation of the average is not weighted to the total volume, it merely shows the average between the maximum and minimum values of the data set to aid in visualization.
Currently, we utilize the following sources to monitor pricing in the olive oil bulk transactions and marketplaces:
