How do we create the charts for the price of olive oil?
We create our charts of the olive oil price evolution in the origin market using only the aggregated data available from public sources.
The chart displays the maximum, minimum, and the average prices for each period. The calculation of the average is not weighted to the total volume, it merely shows the average between the maximum and minimum values of the data set to aid in visualization.
Currently, we use the following sources to track prices:
- Observatorio de precios de la Junta de Andalucía
- Weekly price development publicados por la Unión Europea
- Instituciones, asociaciones locales y empresas exportadoras internacionales
Our data is independent from other sector references (Poolred, ASAJA, etc.) and is updated daily from public sources.
